AdaptOne LLC ("we," “us,” or “our”) views our commitment to protecting and respecting data privacy and GDPR regulatory compliance very seriously. We are committed to total data security and safeguarding your privacy and information online by providing a compliant and consistent approach to security and data protection. Although AdaptOne has always exceeded our obligations, we expand our program proactively. Marketing

We strive to provide end-users with choices regarding the use of personal data, particularly marketing and advertising.  We may use the end-user's identity, contact details, usage data, technical data, and marketing preferences to form a view of what we think end-users may want or need or what may be of interest to end-users. This is how we decide which products, services, and offers may be relevant for end-users.

End-users will receive marketing communications from us if end-users have requested information from us or purchased services from us or if end-users provided us with end-users details when end-users entered a competition or registered for a promotion and, in each case, end-users have not opted out of receiving that marketing.

We will get the end-user's express opt-in consent before we share the end user’s personal data with any company outside the AdaptOne, LLC group for marketing purposes.

End-users can ask us or third parties to stop sending end-users marketing messages at any time by contacting us.

Where end-users Opt-Out of receiving these marketing messages, this will not apply to personal data provided to us due to a product/service purchase, warranty registration, product/service experience, or other transactions.

Change of Purpose

We will only use the end-user's personal data for the purposes collected unless we reasonably consider that we need to use it for another reason, and that reason is compatible with the original purpose. If end-users wish to have us explain how the processing for the new purpose is consistent with the original purpose, please contact us.

If we need to use the end-user's personal data for an unrelated purpose, we will notify end-users and explain the legal basis.

Please note that we may process end-user's personal data without end-users' knowledge or consent in compliance with the above rules where this is required or permitted by law.

We view our commitment to protecting and respecting web privacy and GDPR regulatory compliance very seriously. Below is AdaptOne’s web privacy policy regarding the nature, purpose, use, and sharing of any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) collected via our websites. Our web privacy policy explains our information practices when you provide PII to us, whether collected online or offline, or when you visit us online to browse, obtain information, conduct a transaction, or register on our customer's website(s). PII may include your name, email, mailing and home address, company, company address, phone numbers, or other information that identifies you personally. We do not require you to register or provide personal information to visit our website(s).

The PII you provide on the AdaptOne website(s) will be used only for its intended purpose. We will protect your information consistent with the principles of the Privacy Act of 1974, the E-Government Act of 2002, and the Federal Records Act.

Personally Identifiable Information

AdaptOne does not collect PII about you when you visit our website unless you provide such information. Submitting PII through our website is voluntary. By doing so, you are permitting AdaptOne to use the information for the stated purpose.

However, not providing certain information may result in AdaptOne’s inability to provide you with the desired service. By providing us with PII on an AdaptOne website(s) through such methods as completing a web form or sending us an email, we will use that information to help us provide you with the information or service you requested or respond to your message. The information we may receive varies based on what you do when visiting our website(s).

Opt-Out Notification

We have provided a Subscribe/Opt-Out option that will either appear on the web page collecting the information or be accessible through a hyperlink (link) prominently displayed immediately above or below the information request.  

Email

Many of our programs and website(s) allow you to email us. We will use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry. We will only send you general information via email. As a reminder, that email may not necessarily be secure against interception. Therefore, we suggest you not send sensitive personal data (such as your Social Security number) to us via email. Suppose your intended email communication is very sensitive or includes information such as your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number. In that case, you should alternatively upload this type of information directly through secure web pages of our supplier/member portals.

Electronic mail messages that meet the definition of records in the Federal Records Act (44 U.S.C. 3101 et seq.) are covered under the same disposition schedule as all other federal records. This means that emails you send us will be preserved and maintained for varying periods if those emails meet the definition of federal records. Electronic messages that are not federal records are deleted when they are no longer needed.

Automatically Collected Information

We collect and temporarily store certain information about your visit for use in site management and security purposes only. We collect and analyze this information because it helps us to design our website better to suit your needs. We may also automatically collect information about the web content you view in case of a known security or virus threat. This information includes:

AdaptOne uses social media websites and other kinds of third-party websites. Social media websites are used to publicize AdaptOne, the company, and its solutions and services offerings.  AdaptOne also uses web measurement and customization technologies to measure the number of visitors to our websites and their various sections and help make them more useful to visitors. In such cases, the third-party application may request an email address, username, password, and geographic location (e.g., state, region, or ZIP code) for account registration.. AdaptOne does not use third-party websites to solicit and collect PII from individuals. Any PII passively collected (i.e., not requested) by the third-party website will not be transmitted or stored by AdaptOne; no PII will be disclosed, sold, or transferred to any other entity outside AdaptOne unless required for law enforcement purposes or by statute.

Our website uses cookies to distinguish end-users from other website users. Cookies are small files of information that save and retrieve information about your visit to our tools and websites. In addition, we limit access to end-users’ personal data to those employees, agents, contractors, and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process end-users personal data on our instructions, and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

However, the transmission of information via the Internet is never completely secure. Although we do our best to protect end-users' personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of end-user's data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at the end-user's risk.  We have established procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach. We will notify end-users and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.

AdaptOne is committed to protecting children’s online privacy. The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) governs information gathered online from or about children under the age of 13. Verifiable consent from a child’s parent or guardian is required before collecting, using, or disclosing personal information from a child under age 13. If an AdaptOne website intends to collect information about children under 13 years old, COPPA-required information and instructions will be provided by the specific web page that contains information about the child. The web page will specify what the information will be used for, who will see it, and how long it will be kept.
