Types of Information We Collect

In connection with your use of our site, we ask for and may collect a variety of information from and about you in different ways. For example, when you register for E-mail alerts, we ask for and store your and/or your business’ E-mail address.  GenOn does not collect personal information from you unless you provide it to us. This means that you can visit our site without telling us who you are or revealing any personally identifiable information about yourself.

We analyze this data for trends and statistics about page viewing frequency and sequence to improve our site and the services we offer you. We do not link your IP address to anything personally identifiable. Nevertheless, you should know that, if necessary, an IP address, including yours, can and will be used to identify anyone responsible for threatening the integrity or security of the Site or of GenOn’s computer systems and information networks.

Use of Your Information

When you supply information about yourself for a specific purpose, we use the information for only that purpose (such as to provide the service or information you have requested). For example, you may be asked to give us individual information to receive information, manage online services, or apply for a job.

GenOn does not sell or share e-mail addresses, or other information provided, with outside sources. Should any material changes be made to the ways in which we use personally identifiable information, GenOn will take commercially reasonable measures to obtain e-mail consent from you. We will also post the changes to our use of personally identifiable information on our site at least 30 days prior to a change. . GenOn may disclose part or all of a user’s personal information when GenOn believes, in good faith, that the law requires or compels such disclosure, or when GenOn has good faith reason to believe that disclosure is necessary to protect GenOn’s rights or property, the rights of another user or to prevent harm. By providing personally identifiable information, you expressly consent to these privacy practices.
